Thallus pale fawn, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, numerous, scattered, simple, short and broad, sessile, unbranched, 0.5–2.0 mm long, 0.3–0.5 mm wide, with a thick conspicuous thalline margin; lips closed. Proper exciple thick, laterally carbonised. Hymenium 125–175 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 2–4 per ascus, muriform, 20–24 × 3–6-locular, 90–110 × 15–20 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |

A very rare, corticolous species in north-eastern Qld; also in Central and South America, India, China, Japan and Vanuatu. | ||
